Do you remember?

Hassan Yarti (Spain)

Do you remember?

When we were young

One day I sat alone and made a decision

I came out of the silence of hearts

I wrote on all paths

“I love you,” and I said it aloud

Do you remember?

How were we?

And where were we?

How many times have I visited you

and repeated it over and over?

Do you remember?

The beginning…

And the eagerness of a newborn child

The breeze of the dear café,

The mail letters

And our bewildered spirits?

Do you remember?

Our beautiful love,

The large book of passion

And our drunken eyes?

Do you remember the mornings,

The passing of noon,

The afternoon meetings,

and how we never drew the curtain over our windows?

Do you remember?

That years have passed

And I still chant loyalty as my motto?

Do not forget,

And be with me

So, I can be for you

A green branch that refuses to turn yellow.

তুমি কি স্মরণ কর ?

তোমার  মনে আছে?

আমরা যখন ছোট ছিলাম

একদিন আমি একা বসেছিলাম এবং  একটা সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছিলাম

আমি হৃদয়ের নীরবতা থেকে বেরিয়ে এসেছিলাম

সব পথেই লিখেছিলাম

"আমি তোমাকে ভালবাসি," এবং আমি এটি জোরে বললাম

তোমার মনে আছে?

আমরা কেমন ছিলাম?

আর আমরা কোথায় ছিলাম?

কতবার তোমায় দেখেছি

এবং এটা বারবার হয়েছে পুনরাবৃত্তি?

তোমার মনে আছে?

শুরুটা…

আর সদ্যোজাত শিশুর আকুলতা

প্রিয় ক্যাফের হাওয়া,

চিঠিগুলোর মেইলটা

আর আমাদের বিহ্বল আত্মা?

তোমার মনে আছে?

আমাদের সুন্দর প্রণয়,

আবেগের বড় বই

আর আমাদের মাতাল নয়ন?

তোমার কি মনে আছে সকালগুলোর কথা,

দুপুর গড়িয়ে যাওয়া,

বিকেলের সক্ষাতগুলোর কথা

এবং কিভাবে আমরা আমাদের জানালার উপর পর্দা টানিনি?

তোমার মনে আছে?

সেই বছরগুলো কেটে গেছে

এবং আমি এখনও আমার আদর্শবাণী হিসাবে আনুগত্যের গান করি?

যেও না ভুলে,

এবং থেকো আমার  সাথে

সুতরাং, আমি তোমার জন্য হতে পারি

একটি সবুজ শাখা যা হলুদ হতে অস্বীকার করে।
