A WOMAN IN HARMONY

Lackadaisical and defeated the mind fails to respond ,

Crippled with a chain ;

The prisoner inside the caged woman is calm. 

The heartbeats and the sighs in a vagary resonates ,

The tenacity to take an umbrage at the provocation explicated a momentum.

Dozes of detrimental cacophony boom , 

Unveiling the curtains of a doom.

The trumpet blows with a frantic stigma ,

The mind which was to cleanse ; 

 In the profoundness of compassion ,

Today rots in the Beelzebub 's precarious dimension .

A woman always seeks love , blessing and harmony ,

She is often torn between the vague , vainglorious , gamut of hegemony.

Where life breathes in an oubliette ,

And vacillations trigger some dally. 

Procuring the expected seamless path of righteousness ,

She spreads her wings to free herself from the cage.

With undaunted courage her mind is freed from the insomnia, 

She carefully sets free from the apprehensions.

 Her diligence and fearlessness enhances her proclivity for independence ,

Her aim is to fulfil her incomplete dreams .

She is a beautiful soul,

A soul that cradles bountiful affection .

With a sprinkle that woman ,

Radiates light to enlighten the world.

Having a creative bent in art and literature , Mrs. Somdatta Mitra has been writing poems, short stories and articles from the past eight years. She is a painter, an orator, a teacher. Recipient of three world records and two national records in poetry , she has recently launched her debut solo book " THE SPECTRUM OF EMOTIONS ". She is a co - author in more than 1500 anthologies. With the release of " The Poetess " , an international acclaimed anthology, she has accomplished herself as an international poetess.
