The Life and Sacrifice of a Soldier

Soldiering is not that easy a task.
The road of a soldier is full of thrust.
He is molded strong to guard the land; with courage firm, he takes his stand.
If mother is attacked, he is promised to rescue her from antagonist’s hand.
A soldier has to undergo rigorous training.
He forgets his own self, family, and personal gain.
He is so focused on military drills and tough exercises.
He is completely equipped to dive when motherland faces crises.
He is taught, “The more you sweat in training, the less you bleed in war."
For the call of duty, he rises no matter how deep the scar.
He sacrifices his life, year after year, from land to hills, from river to sky, jungle and border.
For the sake of mother’s protection, he doesn’t care.
A soldier is the real hero of a country.
His silent valor writes the story of a nation’s eternal glory.
