POEM - A SUNFLOWER, THAT'S WHAT SHE IS, Poet - Roberto Dávila Torres ( Nicaragua)

A SUNFLOWER, THAT'S WHAT SHE IS

Dedicated to: Yaoska Hernández

A sunflower, that's what she is, that's what

Yaoska is, rising towards the sun with grace,

virtue, and joy, her slender stem, like her figure,

dancing sweetly in the wind.

I see a sunflower in your cheeks, even on sad and rainy days,

you brighten everyday places with your smile,

and I keep that image of your beauty in my memory.

Her petals, like her clear gaze, open to the world,

radiant and bold, their dark center, like her deep eyes,

holds secrets, mysteries, and dreams.

You illuminate my pupils with your beauty.

You are a sunflower, and in each golden petal of your embraces

I keep the warmth of your tenderness.

Yaoska, a name that evokes elegance, like the sunflower,

which shines constantly, her beauty is a gift,

her smile a precious treasure,

a ray of sunshine that illuminates the dawn.
