Poem - Hidden Heartache, Poetess - Dr. Omatee Ann Marie Hansraj
Hidden Heartache
Dr. Omatee Ann Marie Hansraj
Tears fell like rain, unseen by sight
A heart that bled, with no end in sight
No one knew, no one would understand
The weight of pain, carried in this heart's hand
Destiny played its part, a cruel design
Leaving scars, that would forever be mine
I wore a mask, a perfect disguise
Concealing the hurt, behind closed eyes
Life went on, as if nothing was wrong
A facade of normalcy, a heart that was strong
But deep inside, the wounds would not heal
A lifelong heartbreak, a secret to conceal
The world outside, was unaware of the pain
As I put on a smile, and pretended to sustain
The weight of my grief, was mine to bear
A burden carried, with no one to share
The tears still flow, though silently they fall
A heart that still bleeds, though it may not call
For help or solace, in its darkest night
A lifelong heartache, that remains out of sight.
Quote:
Tears fall silently, but the heart remembers.
