Aminu Femi Jamiu (Nigeria)

In the Chronicles of years

Giants had stood firm like rock

The braves had unfolded Cosmic mysteries

In search for what lost not

Given birth to another generation

Eternity, many craved to have

Bought yesterday to enslave today

Chasing the shadow call life

In fistful to acquire the world

But nature trade eternity not with wealth

Heroes and heroins had also rose

With passion, and liberated nations

From doom and saddle of oppressions

Spilled their blood for many

Making humanity indebted to them

As the Earth orbits the Sun

Moon orbits the earth

So do Time orbits our existence

And at every stages of life

Stars emerged above the cloud

To some, are luck!

To another, are predestined by divine

But there can't be rain without cloud

And no bird fly with folded arms

Greatness smiles at the graith minds.

বছরের ইতিহাসে

দৈত্যরা পাথরের মতো দৃঢ় হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছিল

সাহসীরা মহাজাগতিক রহস্য উন্মোচন করেছিল

যা হারায়নি তার সন্ধানে

জন্ম দিয়েছে অন্য প্রজন্মের

অনন্তকাল,  আকাঙ্ক্ষা করেছিল অনেকে

আজকের দিনকে ক্রীতদাস করার জন্য গতকাল কিনতে

ছায়া ডাকা জীবন অনুসরণ করতে

মুষ্টিবদ্ধভাবে পৃথিবী অর্জন করতে

কিন্তু প্রকৃতি বাণিজ্য অনন্তকাল সম্পদ দিয়ে নয়

নায়ক-নায়িকারাও উঠেছিল

আবেগের সাথে, এবং স্বাধীন জাতিগুলো

সর্বনাশ এবং নিপীড়নের জিন থেকে

অনেকের জন্য তাদের রক্ত ঝরেছে

মানবতাকে ঋণী করে তোলা তাদের কাছে

পৃথিবী যেমন সূর্যকে প্রদক্ষিণ করে

চাঁদ পৃথিবীকে প্রদক্ষিণ করে

তাই সময় আমাদের অস্তিত্বকে প্রদক্ষিণ করে

এবং জীবনের প্রতিটি পর্যায়ে

  নক্ষত্রের উদয় হল মেঘের উপরে

কারো কারো কাছে ভাগ্য!

অন্যের কাছে ঐশ্বরিক দ্বারা পূর্বনির্ধারিত

কিন্তু মেঘ ছাড়া বৃষ্টি হতে পারে না

আর কোনো পাখি হাত ভাঁজ করে উড়ে যায় না

মহান মনে হাসে মহানতা।
