About the Poetess:
Arelis Danger de la Cruz is an engineer, writer, columnist, columnist and Cuban poet born in Baracoa, Guantánamo, in 1966. She is a member of several international organizations, including the International Chamber of Writers & Artists, CIESART Global and the Royal International Academy of Art and Literature. He has participated in international poetry festivals, book fairs and poetic virtual events. He has received international awards and recognition for his literary work, such as the Golden Globe World Award for his fight for the conservation of the environment, an international recognition tribute to Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra. His poems are disseminated on social networks and radio stations in Mexico, Colombia and Argentina, among other countries.
I Raise My Voice As a Poet for Peace
Arelis Danger de la Cruz
In the silence of a wounded world,
where the echo of pain resounds,
I raise my voice with burning fervor,
A song of peace that magnifies the soul.
No more cries of war, no more crying,
The silent bullets, the stifled anger,
A hug that breaks all brokenness,
A verse that embraces each day.
The hands that fight, not that destroy,
The looks that accompany, not that hurt,
The shared dreams, sweet and peaceful,
Under the mantle of love that envelops us.
In the dance of time, life flourishes,
Each word, a bridge, each rhyme,
My pen, in its flight, rage vanishes,
Leaving in its wake a path of esteem.
I raise my voice in a sincere song,
For those who have fallen, for those who still hope,
A hymn of life, a certain future,
Where peace shines and shadows change.
It is not just a wish, it is a commitment,
A flame lit in the dark night,
To be a beacon, to be a guide, in this precise,
Moment, hope, my soul at its height.
