In the pixelated tapestry of our age,
Where screens flicker like distant constellations,
Humanity weaves its fragile thread,
Caught between the analog and the virtual.

We scroll through timelines, our thumbs,
Brushing against the fabric of existence,
As if swiping left could alter destiny,
Or double-tapping might mend a broken heart.

Algorithms hum secrets in our ears,
Predicting desires, shaping our cravings,
Yet beneath the code, a primal hunger stirs—
The need for touch, for warmth, for flesh.


Selfies capture fractured reflections,
Filtered through lenses and edited smiles,
But where lies the rawness of unfiltered souls,
Lost in the glare of front-facing cameras?


We upload memories to the boundless cloud,
Seeking immortality in digital ether,
Yet the weight of forgotten moments,
Crushes our mortal shoulders.


Avatars pirouette in virtual ballrooms,
Their binary limbs tracing patterns of longing,
While flesh-and-blood hearts ache,
Yearning for a dance that leaves footprints.


Humanity, pixelated and pulsing,
Navigates this labyrinth of zeros and ones,
Seeking meaning, connection, and redemption,
As the digital world echoes our analog souls.

Biography of Amb Dr. Marlon Salem Gruezo:
Marlon Salem Gruezo is a Filipino-Spanish peace and culture advocate, educator and arts & letters protagonist. He is a member of several notable and highly respected and well-known international non-government organisations whose core missions are peace development, human rights, culture , arts & letters and education promotions. He is a poetry enthusiast, writer and editor of several culture, arts and heritage international online and print magazines. His literary works were published in highly respected and well-known literary publications, both online and in print media such as the PenCraft Magazine, The Daily Global Nation, The Trap Magazine and Quick World News, Glitterati Quill with Spark to name a few. Just recently, one of his poems entitled "Eternal Symbol of Love and Peace" was adjudged, chosen and awarded as one of the best literary entries in the literature category of CIESART France Tribute to the Great Eiffel Tower Multi Art Contest 2024. He was one of the awardees of the 1st Indo-Bangla Literature and Peace Award 2024 given by The Daily Global Nation, Global Writers Academy and University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is married to his loving American husband Ryan "Trucky" Bondroff who serves as his inspiration in his writings. He earned his university degree from the Philippines premier state university, The University of the Philippines Los Baños Laguna. He was granted scholarships by the Department of Education Culture and Sports and the Department of National Defense through the departments' scholarships system. He is a recipient of several honorary doctorate degrees from international non government educational institutions from other countries outside the Philippines. Among his non-government international organisations are the International Culture Day and Culture for Peace Worldwide Organisation (ICD and CPWOrg, Indonesia), Global Literary Temple International and Philippines, Global Writers Academy, International Internship University (IIU), International Chamber of Writers and Artists (CIESART) and FUNDAPDEN-Fundacion Prodefensa del Derecho a la Education y la Niñez and Global Writers Academy among others.
