Echoes of Emptiness

Dr. Omatee Ann Marie Hansraj

Long lonely days blend into nights,

A canvas painted with tears and sighs.

The silence screams, a deafening sound,

As emptiness echoes all around.

A tearful face, a heart laid bare,

Broken pieces scattered, beyond repair.

The void within, a chasm deep,

A sense of loss, a soul asleep.

Feeling lost, alone and adrift,

A ship without anchor, without a lift.

The world outside moves on with pace,

While I'm stuck in this endless space.

Memories of what once was, now fade,

Leaving only shadows, a haunting shade.

The weight of grief, a burden I bear,

A heart that's heavy, with tears to share.

In this darkness, I search for light,

A glimmer of hope, a guiding sight.

But like a mirage, it vanishes fast,

Leaving me with nothing, but this empty past.

Yet, I'll hold on to the memories we made,

Though bittersweet, they're all I've got to say.

For in the silence, I'll find a way,

To learn to heal, and face another day.

Quote:

In the silence, I hear my heart whispering goodbye.
