Monsoon Murmurs
Professor Dr. Mostafa Dulal
Poet, Writer and Lyricist
The sky weeps like a widow’s heart,
Its tears cascade, a silken art.
Bangladesh breathes beneath the rain,
A canvas kissed by heaven’s pain.
Each drop a pearl, the earth’s soft lover,
Drenched fields sway under liquid cover.
Like a sitar’s hum, the showers sing,
A lullaby for the soul’s deep spring.
Rivers swell, like veins alive,
Carrying dreams where hopes arrive.
The palm trees bow, as if in prayer,
To clouds that cloak the humid air.
In this deluge, life finds its rhyme,
A monsoon’s grace, eternal time.
