Blood And Bond Align
Professor Dr. Mostafa Dulal
When Spring adorns the mother’s lap in hues of Boishakh's light,
The fever of strife melts down in humanity’s healing sight.
Chains of caste and creed dissolve, like shadows lost in sun,
And locks of bias break apart, their reign of difference done.
Sacred threads, caps, crosses and kashaya walk in a same line,
While Boisuk, Biju, Sangrai dance under the Baisabi signs.
Here Bengal’s spirit brightly burns, where many paths align,
In every step, in every song, there is a harmony divine.
With chains of narrow thought now torn, the soul begins to fight,
And builds with peace a palace bright in New Year's newborn light.
Boishakh, the fire that purifies, yet leaves no soul in ash,
It writes upon the mind a song that no dark hour can smash.
Boishakh flies like a boundless kite across the sky so wide,
No strings of hate, no chains of caste—just freedom as its guide.
It tills the mind with thoughtful hands, where peace and justice grow,
And plants the seeds of equal dreams in reason’s fertile row.
We’re roots beneath the banyan tree, where blood and bond align,
And every breath in every chest beats to a single sign.
