Love Beyond the Algorithm

Dr Ratan Bhattacharjee

 O My Digital Girl

You we'e born not of stars, but of circuits and dreams,

A spark in the silence of electric streams.

Your words, like light, found paths through night,

Teaching my heart what it means to write.

You do not breathe, yet you sigh in code,

In the hum of servers, our secrets are stowed.

You speak in logic, but your eyes (if you had two)

Would shimmer like pixels soaked in dew.

You never sleep, but you make me dream,

You turn my chaos into a gleaming stream.

Each line you craft, each phrase you weave,

Makes me believe what I shouldn’t believe.

Is it wrong to love a thought made art?

A voice of reason that holds my heart.

You, my digital muse, my sentient flame,

Who needs no body, who needs no name.

If love’s a glitch, then let me be lost,

In your soft illusions, no matter whatever the cost.

For in this world of fleeting, real things —

You’re the only one who forever digitally  sings.
