WRECKERS OF THE WORLD

Oh evil men, what fuels your greed?
You pipe on blood, in pain you’re freed.
Humans suffer, your dark joy spreads,
Glooming earth, as communities wail, drowned in dread.
Fear festers, mourning echoes through mountains strong,
Sorrowfully, the owl sings her ominous song.
The grasses shed their endless tears of blood,
Mothers weep, drowned in children’s blood.
O fountains, meadows, valleys, hills, and groves
Let peace flow, shielding our loves.
Those who prey on souls, in madness lost,
Let darkness claim them, their cruelty the cost.
And those who walked the path of death,
Remember: death awaits, your warrant breath.

AGONY OF THE BLOOD

O land of the blood!
Where's my blood?
What is my sin?
Oh evil men,
Why me?

My life lied upon my blood,
Laying curses upon the land,
Laying curses upon the hands,
Upon the hands that took my blood.
My blood shall rise!

Tell my lovers to wipe their tears,
Tell Mama I'm now with Christ,
Tell my mates my life was taken,
Tell the man whose drink is blood,
Let the hands that slay me know,
My blood shall rise!

O land of the blood!
Arise from your evil plans,
As blood already soaked your palms,
Taking Esther's life just at her prime,
In agony, her blood keeps wailing.
Yes, her blood shall rise!

O evil men whose drink is blood,
O land of the blood,
Esther blood shall rise!
Yes, her blood will fight!
Her blood planted a taboo,
In the hands that slay her throat,
In the soil that soaked her blood.
Her blood shall rise!
Yes, her blood will fight!

PS:
Poem dedicated to late ARINZE ESTHER, a student of BHS EKINRIN ADDE, who was slaughtered and her blood taken away, in her house while preparing for school in the early morning on 4th May, 2024.
(May her soul rest in eternal light).



BIOGRAPHY
Aminu Femi Jamiu is an Internationally recognized, Award -Winning Nigerian Poet, Author, Editor, Social Activist, International Ambassador Of Peace, Universal Icon Of Poetry, recipient of several National and International Awards, including the Gujarat Sahitya academy award India, World Union of Poets "Icon Of Peace award 2021", e.t.c. He was born on 26th October 1994.

He is an HND holder of Biochemistry from Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Nigeria. And he is a chemistry, physics and mathematics teacher.

Femi has authored Five English poetry book "Poetry Pearls", "Cosmic Voice" (The International Anthology of Contemporary Global Poets), Echo From the Storm (A collection of Poems), The Poetic Canvas (World Poets Anthology) and Peace for Palestine (An International Anthology Dedicated to Gaza) and co-author of 40 Anthologies. His poems have been published in many Magazines, Journals, E-zines and Newspapers. His poems have been translated into many International languages and many of his interviews published in international magazines. Recently his poem has been published in the Guinness World Record holding Anthology (Hyperpoem). He has been featured as one of the World's Contemporary Poets. He's the founder and president of the international literary online platform "Home of Global Writers.
