SHADE OF HER EYES !

Her eyes like a lotus pond brim with tears

And I marvel wondering what is written there

Is it for the smudged kohl of these eyes

And mystifying florets of dolour of my friend

I wish I could be the amorous honey bee

To beguilingly fill them with nectar divine

Her hearts desire she embellishes in the eyes

Crave to celebrate my life in her abode tonight

Through the bashful shade of her sparkling eyes

I could see her florid beauty

at this hour of night

And keep playing such a melancholy tune

In return of her love it brings tears to her eyes

I ponder why she invokes such desolation .
