Poem - Manasi, I wished, Poet - Md Mazharul Abedin
Manasi, I wished----
Md Mazharul Abedin
Manasi,I wished–
To rein you in my arm,
To enseat you by my left side,
And thus to go away afar,
To take you to a blooming over -crowded mustard flowers field
Where in the mass- assembly of the flowers
I wished to sit side by side
To enhear you the bees’ sweet buzzing
And to show their pollination.
I wished—
To seize your mild cool palms
To be more closed at the time of
Hearing the pollination song.
And then to watch the mild trembling of the tip of your sharp nose
And to see eye to eye the depth of your mind
And smell your black hair
And to wrap us with the skirt of your saree.
And thus I wished to hide us in an another world
Reconciling our body and mind
Forgetting all .
With emptying all the love stored in us
In the over -crowded mustard flowers’ field
To have the bees as witness of our great mating.
