Poems of Tanvir Mostafa

About the Poet

Tanvir Mostafa is a poet and educator based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. With a background in English literature, his work explores themes of love, loss, nature, and social transformation. His poetry blends lyrical emotion with critical introspection, offering both personal resonance and universal appeal. Through verse, he seeks not only to heal but also to awaken and inspire.

Nature is Pacifying

My spirit yearns for nature’s grace—

To flee this loud, relentless place.

Where joy is sown in hush and hue,

And sorrow fades like morning dew.

The trees, the wind, the rain, the skies—

All calm the storm behind my eyes.

In nature’s arms, I find my cure—

A love so steady, strong, and pure.

She stills my doubts, dissolves my fears,

And gently dries my hidden tears.

No man-made balm can so repair—

When nature calls, I’m always there.

My Caring and Loving Mother

To you, my mother, heart and soul,

I owe each triumph, every goal.

You bore my faults with quiet grace,

And love unshaken in your face.

Though often wrong, I felt your care—

A light that burns through dark despair.

I live to make your name endure,

A tribute to a heart so pure.

"Khuki"—a name the winds shall keep,

A whisper sung in shadows deep.

A mother, teacher, guide, and friend—

Your boundless love shall never end.

If You Love Literature, Can You Not Be a Poet?

If you love truth, if you seek grace,
Why hide your voice, your sacred space?
The pen, not sword, can stir the air—
And write what few would ever dare.

A poet feels the world’s deep scars—
And plants new hope among the stars.
No sharper blade than verse sincere—
To fight with love, dissolve with tear.

So write for land, for time, for kin—
Each word a flame, each line a win.
The world needs hearts both fierce and free—
The next great poet still may be thee.
