The Journey Within
Yesterday, I was clever, bold and free,
Mending the world with the might in me.
Fixing the skies, chasing the rain,
Believing I could ease all pain.
Today, I am wise, and still I learn,
To tend to the fire in my soul that burns.
No longer reaching far and wide,
But healing the storm I hold inside.
For joy begins in the self we tend,
A light we kindle, a truth we send.
If I can love the one I am,
The world will bloom beneath that span.
And when a heart meets mine one day,
It’s not to fill—but to share the way.
To love myself is to truly see,
How sweetly I can love... when I am free.

From My Window, I See
From my window, I see the day unfold,
With morning’s hush in threads of gold.
The world awakens, soft and slow,
As sun-kissed whispers start to glow.
A bird on a wire sings its tune,
Dancing beneath a silver moon.
Children laugh in distant lanes,
Chasing dreams through morning rains.
The old tree sways with stories told,
Of seasons passed and hands it held.
Petals fall like drops of time,
In silent rhythm, nature’s rhyme.
From my window, I see it clear
A world of wonder drawing near.
Though frames may hold me in my place,
My eyes still wander, heart still chases.
So here I sit, and sip the light,
As day turns gently into night.
And all I need, to feel and be,
Is this small view that sets me free.

Kindred Bonds
In the quiet heart of every home,
Where laughter’s echo softly roams,
A gentle bond of love is sown
Friendship, family, deeply grown.
Amidst the trials, the loss, the gain,
Through whispered joy, through shared pain,
A hand to hold, a tear to dry,
A reason to believe, to try.
In moments dark, or bright as dawn,
We find the strength to carry on
For in each heart that loves us so,
We plant the seeds that help us grow.
No distance dims this tender thread,
No silence breaks what’s softly said;
Each memory a warm embrace,
Each kindness leaves a sacred trace.
Through laughter shared and sorrows borne,
Through countless nights and early morns,
We walk this path with those we trust
A circle formed of faith and dust.
Oh, family—of blood, of choice,
In every breath we find a voice;
A tapestry of souls that weave,
A legacy we dare believe.
In friendship’s glow, in family’s light,
We find our home, our truest sight
For love endures, and so we stand,
With kindred hearts, with open hands.
