The Language of Love
Dr. M. Bodrul Alam Shohag
Love is not just spoken word,
It’s felt in silence, softly heard.
It lives in glances, small and shy,
In hearts that race when one walks by.
It lingers in a warm embrace,
A touch, a smile, a softened face.
It’s in the pause between each line,
The spaces where two souls align.
It walks with us on quiet streets,
Where hand in hand, the stillness beats.
It hides in notes and late-night calls,
In names we write on bedroom walls.
It grows where trust begins to bloom,
And lights the corners of the gloom.
It does not fade with time or age,
But deepens like a poet’s page.
Love waits in storms and sunny skies,
It holds you close when teardrops rise.
It’s sacrifice without regret,
A promise made, not once, but yet—
Again and again, through joy and pain,
In loss, in fear, in sunshine, rain.
It lifts the soul beyond the now,
And teaches hearts to learn just how—
To give without expecting much,
To speak with care, to heal with touch.
For love, though quiet, strong and true,
Can make the world feel bright and new.
So hold it close, this gift divine,
Let love in every moment shine.
And know that through both rise and fall,
Love is the greatest gift of all.
