Poem - Whispers of the Bloom, Poetess - Omatee Ann Marie Hansraj (Trinidad and Tobago)

Whispers of the Bloom

Omatee Ann Marie Hansraj

In morning’s hush, the petals wake,

Soft dreams of dew they gently shake.

A symphony in hues so bright,

They turn the earth to living light.

Each blossom holds a secret song,

A tale of where the winds belong.

In fields or tucked in garden beds,

They lift the skies above our heads.

The rose with blush of summer’s grace,

The lily with her quiet face,

The violet shy, the tulip bold

Each heart a story to be told.

They bloom, then bow to time’s embrace,

Yet leave behind a fragrant trace.

A fleeting life, a radiant show,

That teaches love in letting go.
