The Songstress in the Tavern
Prof. Dr. Tzemin Ition Tsai (Taiwan)
Lights in an inn have been dimmed,
A songstress is singing her heart out.
Her sound is like a bird in flight,
Don't wait for a night to give up.
The words in the song are like a poem,
Filled with beauty and sophistication,
Rather tell of loving and losing,
I don't want to hold on to the burning pain in my heart.
Now you are far away,
Wandering around on my own makes me feel frustrated.
The memories come back to give me some comfort,
But I am longing to keep my sanity.
The heart that you once touched and ached,
I have no nourishment.
It has been a part of my life for a very long time.
I'll keep it sealed with beeswax,
Until I know that someday we will be together again.
সরাইখানায় গায়িকা

একটি সরাইখানার আলো নিভে গেছে,
একজন গায়িকা তার মন খুলে গান গাইছে।
তার শব্দ উড়তে থাকা পাখির মতো,
অপেক্ষা করো না একটি রাত ছেড়ে দেওয়ার জন্য
গানের কথাগুলো কবিতার মতো,
সৌন্দর্য এবং পরিশীলিততায় ভরা,
বরং ভালবাসা এবং হারানোর কথা বলো
আমি আমার হৃদয়ে জ্বলন্ত বেদনা ধরে রাখতে চাই না।
এখন তুমি অনেক দূরে,
নিজের মতো করে ঘুরে বেড়ানো আমাকে হতাশ করে।
স্মৃতিগুলো ফিরে আসে আমাকে একটু সান্ত্বনা দিতে,
কিন্তু আমি আকুল আমার বিবেক বজায় রাখতে।
যে হৃদয় তুমি একবার ছুঁয়েছিলে এবং বেদনা দিয়েছিলে,
আমার নেই কোন পুষ্টি।
খুব দীর্ঘ সময়ের জন্য আমার জীবনের একটি অংশ হয়েছে এটি।
মোম দিয়ে বন্ধ করে রাখব,
যতক্ষণ না আমি জানি যে কোনও দিন আমরা আবার একসাথে হব।

As a full professor and a columnist for 'The Chinese Language Monthly', he has devoted his life to education, culture, and the arts. He is passionate about writing and love to describe natural scenery, human relations, and human emotions in his literary works. He has won numerous national literary awards, and his literary works have been published in books, journals, and newspapers in over 50 countries and translated into over 25 languages. He received many awards.
