POETRY AND POWER
Dr. Manoranjan Das
Poetry uses rhythm and metaphor to bypass logic and speak directly to human emotion. This gives the power to unite people, challenge rulers, and heal pain. A single verse can spark a movement or change a heart faster than a long speech. Poetry is revealed through the freshness, keeping the warmth of refinement with power where the vision is brightened to future. Thus, it may be added,
' Poetry reveals to us the loveliness of nature, brings back the freshness of youthful feeling, revives the relish of simple pleasures, keep unquenched the ethusiasm which warmed the spring-time of our being, refines youthful love, strengthens our interest in human nature, by vivid delineations of its tenderest and softest feelings, and, through the brightness of its prophetic visions , helps faith to lay hold on the future life.'1
We can break down the relationship between poetry and power into a few simple ideas. Moreover, the
speaking to power is to run because poems share raw truths, and these amplify the voices of the oppressed, for example, poets like Audre Lorde wrote famous verses about violence and racism to force society to look at its flaws. It is known that power through poetry is run to responsibilities that is owed to knowledge.
Thus, it may be added,
' Responsibilities gravitate to the person who can shoulder them ; power flows to the man who knows how.'2
Clearly speaking, a metaphor is a comparison, and, it says one thing is another, and, therefore, he connects ideas, and already to know to new, hard topics, and, it can be thought of the theme that poetry makes it easier to understand the feeling trapped in real life, and, this uses the same trick, and, it helps us feel the pain or joy of another person. Notwithstandingly,
the power to heal through poems tapped into the right side of the brain, and, this is where dreams and feelings live, and, studies to show that reading rhythmic verses can lower stress and heal trauma. It's to say that poetry is the powerful strength that is to be crowned the mankind like magical unit.
Thus, it may be added,
' Poetry is in itself strength and joy, whether it be crowned by all mankind, or left alone in its own magic hermitage.'3
With the motion of life's dignity, it's known that poetry is the spirit of truth, by carrying the humanity with the presentation of surroundings where the picture with proper deeds are brightened with words and thoughts. Thus , a sonnet may be added,
' Poetry is the true substantiation
Of artistic view of mind into spirit,
Realising with time and truth at notion
Where humanity is widened to the fact.
With the degree of mind's motivation
Poetry runs, ah! to revolutionize ,
Carrying with events for presentation,
Of surrounfings, totally , at ease.
Poetry is the mode of life's integral
Part where the picture of day to day deeds
Are accurately run properly with real
Explorable norm through the experienced reeds.
Poetry is to be luminised to brighter
Faith where the words with thoughts are to refer.'4
Correctly saying
poetry is a tool, and, words become weapons, shields, or bridges, and, more learn more about how verse changes the world, men can read about the power, by healing the wisdom, and, therefore,
this space of possibility is the space of creative energy itself, of that sacred spark, and, poetry guides us to this space through the attention. Plurally speaking, it is aithenticated that the observation of power with poetry is exited with discovery. Thus , it may be added,
' It is an observation no less just than common, that there is no stronger test of a man's real character than power and authority, exciting as they do every passion , and fostering every latent vice.'5
Purely telling, poetry can speak directly or indirectly to truths that the state might not want to have that spiritual naturalist society supports the
the healing power of poetry , by expressing the inexpressible through image and music, poetry can make the invisible world visible and tap into the realm of the ineffable. It is properly said that poetry is the spirit, pouring into the language to another. Thus, it may be added,
'Poesy is of so subtle a spirit, that in the pouring out of one language onto another it will evaporate.'5.A
The power of poetry is amplified with the voices and driving change, and poetry can express thoughts, emotions, and, it's the experiences that it may otherwise go unheard, and transcend boundaries and connect people from diverse backgrounds. Therefore, power is seldom directed to good and useful purpose. Thus , it may be added,
'Power acquired by guilt has seldom been directed to any good end or useful purpose.'6
It is known through research that the power of poetry shapes the way of thinking and speaking and poetry speaks to our emotions as much as our minds, and, it helps us feeling, remembering processing for any type of action, and, it's to say further that there have been many examples of the authorities and rulers being afraid of poets and poetry that sounds the trumpet of change in society too. It is invented that the living spirit makes wave through poetry where power is rowed to melodious spark. Thus, it may be added,
' The world is full of poetry.- The air is living with its spirit; snd waves dance to the music of its melodies, and spakle in its brightness.'7
Openly saying, power is gravitated through souls generaliastion with the bade of activity, basing on the pluralisation for betterment in democracy sometimes, and it goes to realistic review. Moreover, power accelerates any man to darkness by which ordinary men and women are suffered, and sometimes it is owed to meanness and littleness. Thus, a sonnet may be added
' Power gravitates to responsibility,
Bearing the boundary of mind and soul
Where generalisation with activity
Is owed to action with base; that's real.
Power must be pluralised with public
To democratise for betterment of our
Society that runs to realistic
Review for, and that is sharped to gear
Admitting with pride , at all, sometimes power
Darkens mind to behave roughly with the people
Where humanity is suffered from fever
Of damages to other's mind, on the whole.
Power dazzles the beholder to meanness
With power-owner's real base of littleness.'9
In speaking and reading to people today , it will resist the silence, it draws inspiration from the words of the famous black poet Audre Lorde who wrote about her at
the comperative analysis about
all of experiences, as well as how things developed over time, were mirrored in her poems. Therefore, a comparison of two generally unlike things in order to emphasize a particular quality that they do share. Marianne Moore compares powerful poetry through the art of poetic compare. It is said that the general power of poetry is domained to power with art of painting. Thus, it may be added ,
'Poetry, with all its obscurity has a more general as well as a more powerful domain over the passions than the art of painting .'9
Above all, poetry carries to heighten the authentic relation specially at the time of any movement, revolution and freedom too.
