Your Beauty, Poet Mohammed Rahal (Algeria)

 Your Beauty

Mohammed Rahal

Your beauty has driven me mad, your love has captivated me.

Your passion is killing me, I'm content without you, my beauty.

You deceive me, you trick me, you leave me in fear.

Without saying goodbye, without reassuring me, without asking where I am.

Why do you yearn, why do you go to the trouble of coming to me, reaching me?

Your love has caught me, you catch me, and you only make me more distant.

I still wish you were happy, far from me.

I thought you were flirting with me, that you wanted to meet me.

I don't understand you, and I don't understand what you think.

What's wrong with you? Your absence is burning me.

My heart is tormented, my mind is troubled, my thoughts are turning gray.

I'm sitting here waiting, hoping, is this how you leave me?

Your absence has terrified me, driven me to madness. You've overwhelmed me, you've overwhelmed me. Without you, I'm at peace.

The beauty of the swing has captivated me, the beauty of the swing. The anklets of the ghosts, the fragrance of the breeze, have captivated me and left.
