Love is not always a flame that dazzles the eyes;

sometimes it is a quiet light that accompanies the soul

through the longest roads and the darkest nights.

I have found love in words,

in letters carried by the wind,

in memories that bloom like jasmine

between the pages of forgotten books.

Love teaches us patience,

gives meaning to waiting,

and turns ordinary moments

into eternal memories.

For me, love is not possession,

but understanding;

not a cage,

but a pair of wings.

And when hearts meet in sincerity,

even oceans become small,

and distance becomes nothing more

than a bridge of hope.

Short Biography:

Yasmin Abd Al Salam Harmoush is a Lebanese poet and writer from Al-Safira, Lebanon. She is the author of the poetry collections Jasmine and Harvests of Jasmine. Her writings explore themes of love, identity, women’s experiences, homeland, and human values. Her works have been translated into several languages, including English, Italian, Korean, and Albanian. She has participated in various cultural events and literary festivals and continues to contribute to contemporary Arabic literature through poetry, prose, and narrative writing.
