Luck And Brightness in Yang Geum-Hee's Poetry

        The well-popular poetess , Yang Geum-Hee knows that cultivating 'luck and brightness' means creating men's own good fortune and keeping a positive outlook, and, science shows luck is less about random chance and more about actively spotting opportunities, trusting men's intuition, and remaining resilient. She has the feelings about home where warmth of wind is destined to high nest. Thus, she writes,

'Birds do not build their homes
For themselves,
But for their young ones
They build nests in bushes or tree holes
And share warmth with each other.

With that strength ,
They become the wind ,
They become the clouds,
To open their way to the sky.

Knowing their destiny is to fly high,
Birds do not build nests to stay.'1..

         Yang  Geum-Hee , born in 1967 in Jeju, Korea, has authored two poetry collections, Happiness Account and Iedo: Island of Legend and Ecistence, as well as essay collection titled Happy Companion. She was the founding president of the Ideodo Literature Association and the 2nd  president of the Korean Association of World Literature. Ms. Yang
also served also as editor-in-chief at Jejuin News, a researcher at the Jeju Sea Grand Center of Jeju National University, and a specially appointed professor at Jeju International University.

         Currently, she is an editorial writer for Samdailbo Newspaper, a special researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences of Jeju National University, the vice president of the Jeju Regional Committee of the Korean PEN Centre, Vice President of the Korean Institute of Peace and Cooperation, and an executive member of the Korean Association of Ethics. Ms. Yang has received eight literary awards for her contributions to literature. Her poetry has been translated into various languages.


         Reliably speaking, Prof. Yang Geum- Hee remembers psychologist Richard Wiseman’s research in 'The Luck Factor' breaks down how men  can invite more of it into their everyday life, there is spot opportunities that lucky people are open to new experiences and less anxious, which allows them to notice unexpected chances. She has to brighten darkest night through the hope of heavy air. She smoothens that joy and love is gained to fate where the hope is richly blessed. Thus, it may be added,
'Just as love can't be forgot,
Pretending to forget brings joy not.
Love, joy and sorrows blend ,
Sometimes God, sometimes man lends the end.

To gain or lose it, fate decides,
We're guests of karma, where truth resides .
Love along brings alone hope to the chest,
That's why life feels no richy blessed.'2

         Greenably speaking, Yang Geum- Hee has carried to Iisten to intuition in such a way that trust men's gut feelings and act on their, and, instincts when making decision is to expect the best to  maintain a positive mindset, by anticipating good outcomes that  creates a self-fulfilling prophecy of success. She has to brighten the black night through the hope of heavy wind.Thus, she writes,
'As light shines brighter  in the darkest night,
May peace break through with gentle might,
Seeping through Gaza's cracks of despair,
A beacon of hope in the heavy air.'3

        Accurately speaking, she, the great poetess asserts that to stay resilient, and to turn bad luck into good fortune by looking for the positive side of a setback and bouncing back quickly. She demonstrates luck and brightness through her feeing. She signifies the base of smiling river, following the greenery, and the oceanic wave of dancing through sun's glance. Thus, it may be added,

'I like to see the smiling river,
Her body glitters like a silver
When she runs in the valley,
She walks in the greenery.

I like to see tbe green and white hills
Who stands still
And carry animals and plants
On their backs.

I like to see the ocean
Who wear the mists of scarf.
I like to see the waves' , dance
The wind's song , the sin's glance,
The flying clouds and the sea-gulls.'4



            Truthfully discussing, poetess, Yan Geun-Hee endows that everyday ' 'brightness' habits to shift men's perspective to replace 'woe-is-me' thoughts with, 'why not me'  allow good things to happen by believing men deserve them.

          She carries the starlight to her mind flaming with the brightness where the strain of path seems to attach with the way of peace.Thus, she writes,

'Just as starlight travels from afar,
Reaching us from a distant star,
May peace ignite a flame so bright,
A lighthouse glowing through the night.
Follow it's glow, O hearts in pain,
Through you wander, though you strain,
Even your path seems dim,
The way of peace will call you in.'5



       It is to say clearly that Prof. Yang Geum-Hee sweetens her idea through poetry where acceptance for invitations outside  men's normal comfort zone and meet new people—that is where new opportunities live, by acknowledging what is already bright in men's life sets the stage to attract more positivity.

        On the whole, Yang Geum-Hee's poetry extends the the virtues of wooness through society's wellfulness where luck and brightness are sweetened about.
