Conversing with the Flower
Shpresa Delija

A moon-flower wakes me up
Its soft petals pet my face with lush
Dew-laden dreams perplexed during the night
Whisper to the waking light.

Thoughts and feelings sway beyond the sky
A fragile soul in fields of grass lie
The balmy breeze looking for serene and zephyrs
A lullaby the earth recalls to tranquil.

In dawn’s soft gold, it kindles into light,
A breathing verse, a dream in fleeting flight;
Yet in its hush, so lucid, vast, and deep,
Abide the truths no restless heart may keep.

O gentle bloom, so softly bright,
You hold me close within the night;
And in your breath, I lose my way,
A drifting heart that will not stay.

Though swift your hours are born to flee,
You bloom in quiet eternity.

Bio:
Prof. Dr. Shpresa Delija born and educated in Albania is a professor of English in the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the Tirana University, Albania. She has been teaching for 52 years now.

Prof. Dr. Shpresa Delija is a national and international speaker, national and international teacher trainer, book writer, poet, leader, conference organizer, a lover of wellness, positive change, improvement, growth, empowerment, knowledge, learning, encouragement and inspiration of the teachers, student teachers and women not only in Albania.
Prof. Dr. Shpresa Delija is a philantropist. She has set up the first Resource Room for Student teachers at the Faculty she’s been teaching for so long to create space for her student teachers to study and to feel comfortable. She is the Global Wellness Ambassador and she is  the Albanian Ambassador for ESWP Empowerment Thru Spoken Word Poetry and TAPN2U Foundation. Life Time Achievement Award in Education and Empowerment.  I am recently given the prestigious 7th Burj CEO Awards, often hailed as the "Oscars of the Business World." Award of the Global Humanitarian of the Year 2024. She is awarded Global Ambassador of Peace 2024-2026 and a Global Educator 2025.
