Short Biography of  Concetta La Placa
 
Author Concetta La Placa (on Facebook: Cettina La Placa Tumminelli).
Concetta La Placa is a poet, writer, aphorist, critic, translator, social activist and author of the magazine 'Alessandria Today'.
She is well known on the international poetry scene because her poems have been published in over 50 anthologies by various authors and in magazines in different countries around the world, and have been translated into several languages (Spanish, Serbian, Bangladeshi, Indian, Brazilian, American, Peruvian, Uruguayan, Vietnamese, Mexican, Costa Rican, Turkish, Colombian, Portuguese, Iranian, Albanian, etc.).
She has published eleven  collections of poetry. The eleven is, entitled “Poems of Cosmic Love” in Amazon.
She is Ambassador of Peace and Culture for the IFCH Forum and also Ambassador of Indonesia for Rini Valentina.
She received an honorary doctorate from the International Forum for Creativity and Humanity of the Kingdom of Morocco. 43/2018 fnaydek Morocco, for her commitment to the fields of culture, art, peace, coexistence and humanity.
She is a member of:
- Peace Charter Project (Dra. Hc María Elena Ramírez).
- RRM3, President, Prof. George Onsy of RENAISSANCE Millennium III.
- She is an official member (honorary advisor) of the organisation “Cátedra de Mujeres”, linked to the UN.
- She is a member of the Academy of Farsala - Athens, chaired by Yannis Fikas.  She lives in Rome.
She has worked as a lecturer at L.U.M.S.A. University in Rome and at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies for the promotion of human rights (childhood, adolescence and the fight against poverty).
Over the years, she has given several interviews to leading magazines.
The most recent was published in Hassane Yarti's latest work, Unwritten Chapter, Vol. II.
She has received numerous awards and honours. She received the Honorary Award from the Aziz Mountassir International Organisation (Ambassador of Peace, Literature and Human Rights).
At the 2025 World Summit (Castile-La Mancha) of the International Chamber of Writers and Artists (CIESART), she received the 2025 Honorary Doctorate and the 2025 Palma de Mar Award, both conferred by the International Chamber of Writers and Artists (CIESART), as well as the Medal of Merit and Career of the CIESART Union of Nations - Einstein Scientific and Technological Centre.

at the “La Perla del Tirreno” International Competition, in which she competed in two categories, she won:
- the Jury Prize – La Marina for her debut collection, “Cosmic Love and Emotions in the Wind”
- the Critics’ Prize for her video poem “SEDULO E’ MIO AMORE PER TE”.• Diploma De Honor

DILIGENT IS THE ONE WHO LOVES
 Concetta La Placa

Sit down and calmly, man, woman,
meditate, reflect, observe, and then
listen around you to the brief step
of everything that surrounds you.
 
You, who have always had a quick intuition,
will know that this life is like a breath,
a gentle heartbeat, and that everything changes suddenly.
Nothing will ever remain here as it once was.
 
Man and woman carry within themselves
signs of their nature in the making.
Joys and painful scars of time,
caused by its relentless rhythm.
 
But there is one feeling that,
if given, will never change.
It is like a treasure in the sun
that forever reveals and radiates its glow.
 
Diligent is the one who perceives,
here and now, love
and does not keep it locked in the heart.
This is the true feeling,
the only one that, if given,
gives meaning to life.
 
Love, a benevolent elixir,
a balm that nourishes and heals
our heart, lifts us up,
makes us memorable,
and renders us truly eternal.

A HEAVY HEART
Concetta La Placa

As the evening wears on,
the light suddenly fades
and all around
a sort of mysterious cloud descends…
I try to cling to my fondest memories.
I let myself be carried away by the  wonderful power of nature and the little  things that surround me,
Thus, I rediscover  the serenity  that is clouded and desecrated during the day by the sorrow of having, despite myself, to observe a lost world that speaks empty words of peace and love, yet is steeped in falsehood, in human deception, in unfair competition, in hatred and in destructive wars.
It is immersed in a poisonous river that causes  pain to the heart.
