Life is passing like lightning flash

We are changing with every second

It is fleeting with unseen eyes

Like the running water of a river

It is not here

Life is a dream --a bubble

Wake up

From this mirage of life

Fill your life with the colours of happiness

And make a wonderful rainbow

Thou art the bliss

Mother, you are only mother,

Because of you,

I got thoughts and rituals,

Because of you,

I got my face, my existence and my prestige,

Mother, you are neither goddess nor god,

Mother, you are not away from these,

Mother, you are my soul,

You are within me,

Mother, you aren`t a materialistic thing,

You are omnipresent earth,

You are a firm foundation,

Mother, you are away from words,

Mother, you are life

A bird completely wet,

Dropping of drops from every leaf,

Scattering of nest of the bird,

The bird is still merry,

Chirping from inside,

What a great nature!

The more you dip, the more it is deep,

You are yourself protecter and watchman,

Then, why don`t you don`t have ray of hope,

Take lesson from yester years,

Lost -found is fashion here,

Happiness -sadness are companions,

Don`t loose heart,

Work is worship

About the Poet:

Dr. Ram Sharma is an accomplished poet and writer both in English and Hindi in the field of literature. He has added many feathers to his cap. As a student he has been exceptionally brilliant  student from

class first to M.Phil. He did his doctorate on ` Post-Modernist Trends in Indian Novels in English: A Study of Anita Desai, Arun Joshi, Amitav Ghosh and Vikram Seth..He is a renowned poet, critic, reviewer and translator.His poetry is indeed of very high order which is read throughout the world.  He  worked  associate professor and Head of the department   in English in J.V.P.G. College, Baraut, Baghpat, U.P., India.He is editor-in-chief of two international journals 

 RUMINATIONS and GLIMPSES. Presently he is working as Principal at SSB P.G college , Raniganj , Ballia , U.P.
