Poem - Angelic Lucy, Poet - Dr Ratan Bhattacharjee

Angelic Lucy

Dr Ratan Bhattacharjee

She walks where morning dew still clings,

With sunlight woven through her wings.

Her giggles  ring like silver chimes,

Indeed a melody beyond all times.

Her eyes hold stars that never fade,

Soft lanterns in the twilight shade.

She speaks in whispers, calm and clear,

And every word dissolves human  fear.

She tends the rainbow roses, tulip yellow and red,

And sings to dreams that on green grass softly tread

Her touch revives the wilted bloom,

And fills the air with sweet perfume.

She dances where the shadows lie,

And paints with light across the sky.

No storm can shake her gentle grace,

No sorrow can dim her shining face.

She is the aura  before the dawn,

The frail word that lingers when  hope is gone.

Angelic Lucy, pure and free

A soul of light, ever eternally.
