Paradigm Shifts
Richard Doiron
We talk in terms of right and wrong,
of good and bad and weak and strong
-believed in this we've answers had
the thrust of which is ironclad.
But judgement calls are oddball things
-strikes twelve the clock, the coo-coo sings!
evolving lots be deemed to teach
but total truth's beyond our reach.
The Universe that's big and broad,
unfolds the new, the old is flawed -
therefore to paint each paradigm,
the going thing but for a time.
The Light of Love

The space expands whereas I gaze
-no limits known above -
and, likewise, too, defines my days
that endless lease on love.
My lucky star that's quick a-beam,
the moon that calls my name,
so deep the draft that holds my dream
you'd think it's all a game.
But more there is and this I know -
my gaze that's never still -t
he light of love that's such a glow,
I'd never have my fill.
Fulfilled the Knowing Heart

He walked in wonder, saw the light,
and reached for stars in heaven high,
a dream to dream that seemed so right
no need to fret or question why:
such urges felt he could not fight,
he sprouted wings and learned to fly!
As years elapsed he aged with grace-
no brutish bite in what he said -;
fulfilled the heart that knows its place,
he could not help but move ahead;
therefore it was upon his face there glowed
the gleam of roses red!
He lived the good, the wise, the true,
and never feared the spoiling spill;
each day he learned of something new;
with open mind he knew the drill
and got to grasp what grasp the few -
no wise a doubt he's flying still!
