WALK ON

Jasmina Cirkovic

Walk on in the time of pus that engulfs relics and saints,

The orator sits and weaves his hair, and the earth lays down its butterflies.

In the created robe of terror, where the terrible echoes of reptiles crawl,

The guardians of the place were born and behold, the heavens and the earth merged

To the wonder of the world like a worn-out dress flies to be worn by the fate of the damned.

Here I am born, my sword still cuts and countless swords in a swarm fly,

Taste the ghost under the cloak as the blade of the word shines.

Feel the crown of the handle - the cross, and the blessing of the holy fathers,

But no force will bring Christ to the ground of blood like that again.

About the Poetess

Jasmina Ćirković, poetess , prose writer, aphorist and satirist, was born in Pančevo on November 14, 1970. She completed elementary school in Germany, high school in Pancevo, and began her studies (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Agriculture) in Belgrade. , and finished in Zagreb. She lived in Pula for thirteen years and worked in Brioni. Since 1991, he has been living and creating in Pančevo. He has a daughter Andrijana, in whom Jasmina was left without a husband

She is a member of the Institute for Children's Literature.
