PARENTAL LIGHT: A FATHER WHO BURNS TO GIVE LIGHT

(Father's Day Tribute)

By Rev. Dr. Jitender Singh

A father is a tree, standing beneath the scorching sun, yet offering his shade to nurture the dreams of his children.

A father is a lamp, burning through the darkest nights, so that no shadow of fear may settle in a child's eyes.

A father is a voice, often unnoticed, yet its echo fills a home with strength, purpose, and life.

He seldom asks how the bread tastes; he only ensures that no plate remains empty.

He hides his tears, covers his wounds with a smile, and upon weary shoulders carries the sky of his family's hopes.

A true father is one who chooses responsibility before privilege, who guides not through fear, but through the power of love.

His words may be firm with truth, yet his heart overflows with compassion.

He teaches his children not merely how to succeed, but how to value truth; not merely how to rise, but how to rise again after falling.

He teaches that character is greater than talent, and integrity more precious than any inheritance.

In the language of faith, he stands firm in conviction, impartial in justice, generous in kindness, and humble in service.

He is not merely the master of a house, but its living soul; not the ruler of a family, but its faithful guardian.

May his prayers become a shield around his children, and may his life become their guiding star.

When his children walk behind him, may they see not merely a man, but an example worth following.

And when the final chapter of his story is written, may his greatest achievement not be his title, wealth, or reputation,

but the lives he shaped with love, the values he cultivated through example, and the faith he planted within the hearts of future generations.

O God, grant every father a heart strong in courage, yet gentle in love.

Give him a vision that sees beyond today, and hands that strengthen the weary.

So that generations yet to come may say:

"We once knew a father who kept burning himself, yet filled the lives of his family with light."
