Poem - Lanterns of Grace, Poetess - Omatee Ann-Marie Hansraj (Trinidad and Tobago)

Lanterns of Grace

The moon bows low in reverence,

as hearts rise high in prayer.

Eid arrives like a whisper of peace,

draped in mercy, dressed in care.

Hands once empty now overflow,

with blessings wrapped in gold.

Forgiveness blooms in every soul,

as ancient stories unfold.

We walk in light, not just in day,

but in the kindness we extend.

Eid is not just celebration

it’s where broken hearts mend.

Quote:

Eid is the sunrise of mercy after the long night of prayer.
