Poem - Whispers of Dawn, Poetess - Dr. Omatee Ann Marie Hansraj (Trinidad and Tobago)
Whispers of Dawn
Dr. Omatee Ann Marie Hansraj
As morning's veil lifts slow and high
The stars fade out, the sun says goodbye
To night's dark shadows, fled in flight
As dawn's warm light creeps over the night
The world awakens, fresh and new
Dew-kissed petals, morning's dew
The breeze whispers secrets, soft and low
Of dreams and hopes, in morning's glow
In this still hour, I find my peace
A calm within, my worries release
The world stirs slow, and I am free
To chase my dreams, wild and carefree
The morning's promise, a new beginning made
A chance to start, a fresh parade
The sun's warm touch, on my skin so bright
A new day dawns, and all's made right
