Poems of Taghrid Bou Merhi (Lebanon - Brazil)

THE LIGHT OF GLORY
Taghrid Bou Merhi

We have a sky in the land that shelters
And spreads the fragrance of peace like a cover.

The dawn of sunrise embraces our soil,
Fluttering above hearts like a tender breeze.

We seek heights with our minds as guides,
And from our glory, we forge unity.

If the land ever calls for defense,
You’ll see me as a sword in an unyielding army.

Though steps may be heavy for some,
We are swift when the storm arrives.

We build life with a great light,
And we do not accept death that brings drought.

With determination, we restore the light
That once made the seas of greatness overflow.

God has not granted eternity to any people
Unless truth was their foundation.

THE POWER OF BELIEF
Taghrid Bou Merhi

Belief, a spark within the soul,
That lifts the heart and makes it whole.
It sees beyond the veil of fear,
And whispers, "Truth is always near."

When doubt surrounds, it holds its ground,
A quiet sound, a silent strength.
In every trial, every trial challenge,
Belief walks with us all the while.

Nosign it needs, no proof it seeks,
Just trust in what the spirit feeds.
For in belief, the world unfolds,
A faith that shapes the dreams it holds.

Belief is the seed that dares to grow,
In barren lands where doubt may flow.
It trusts in paths yet unexplored,
And finds its wings without a sword.
