Poems of Edy Samudra Kertagama (Indonesia)

Return to Silence
Edy Samudra Kertagama
Lampung-Indonesia

You used to often pick flowers but
Now you don't, because silence is a
Good place for you, while you look at
The clear river.

Once I said:
"Take everything with Prayer
Because we are just wanderers a
among the fallen leaves"

The Expanse Is So Foreign
Edy Samudra Kertagama

In his quiet home, under the shadow
Of the old, he went to the beach and
Sunbathed after releasing his sweet
Taste in the roots, leaves, twigs and
Even the stone wall that he carved
For days until it was finished. No
Promises to go, let alone holding his
Hands until he was lulled in sleep to
Reach the first flicker of light
Because a cloud of smoke and a
Machete had torn him apart. And,

He will never know the color of the
Sea or the sand of the beach,
Because the womb he has is only a
Sweet cup and it is often squeezed
Completely.

He was so young, among other
Things, that all his love was a hum in
The open even though it was so Foreign to him.

Pilgrim
Edy Samudra Kertagama

After that
The mystery comes again
Then open the veil
Bandaging longing.

Here, in a dream
The same one every night
You have written a story
With a long time In the lake of your
Eyes.

"How clear you are"
Decorate the full moon night
Together with strings In the scent of
Athousand poems.

Pilgrims,
As the story progresses
As the journey goes on
Love stories always emerge
So longing to shed all the lonely
Memories and events that are ready
To be picked
While waiting for the evening
To return.

In the Same Womb
Edy Samudra Kertagama

I'm starting to feel
When your fingernails pierce
And peeling wounds that have
Almost healed this week
It's from
That wound
Will be a sign again
Which is difficult for me to answer.

So, please allow me just a little
To see you sitting
Holds flowers all day long
While reading poetry
The one I wrote last year
Even inside
Fluttering flowers
Which will bloom there.

Come spring As a traveler
Take the night away from what's
There
Because of the moon and stars It's
Not just there
To paint clouds
Who wants to go home
By bringing memories

Ah, long story
Which is not finished if you are the
Wind
Bring the leaves flying if you are the
Sea
Keep being a wave
Because you have it Just a dream
And will come back in In the same
Womb.
